Tea With a Twist

Be seated in one of our establishment's fine dining or entertaining areas. Meet new friends and experience personalized entertainment no matter where you sit.We offer four main entertainment options depending on the day and availability. The Teahouse, Sushi Bar, Onsen, and Fight Ring are all housed within one building for your pleasure.The Teahouse - Located on the bottom floor, the Teahouse offers a selection of food and drink for your pleasure. You will never be alone as we practice communal seating. You'll always be seated with your own group, but also with strangers unless you request otherwise. Our flowers will also seat themselves among the tables to serve and offer banter.To the left of reception, there are two private tea rooms. These can be used by groups for a more private dining experience or as a place for a less public conversation, should you desire.The Sushi Bar - Up the stairs and to the right is the Sushi Bar, a small dining area for a great lunch or to listen in on the latest rumors. Maybe you're here to pick up a job, maybe just a quick bite to eat. Either way, you're well cared for by attentive staff.The Onsen - Up the stairs to the left are a mirrored pair of onsen. Segregated by gender/sex, these two rooms are fully separated and private. A flower can accompany you for a massage or company, or you can bathe alone. These spaces are always available, though staff may not be. (Our non-binary and transgender guests are welcome to choose as they feel comfortable. Our wording is only to reflect a separation, not a political stand.)The Fight Pit - Downstairs to the left is the Fight Pit and bar area. About once a moon, this area will open up for special events or to showcase affiliate battles. Refreshments are available as well as company, much like the rest of the house.

○ Be respectful of each other and staff.○ We are a safe place for marginalized players, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and the SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Acceptance), and Neurodivergent communities. We do not allow harassment or discrimination against anyone within our space, regardless of race, sexuality, gender, or neurodivergencies.○ Consent is key. While we rp heavy and nsfw topics, we also heavily advocate for enthusiastic consent. Please do not force anything on anyone's OC. Communication is necessary, so please do so with respect and understanding. If someone says no, then the answer is no.○ However! This does not mean you can use this rule to circumvent consequences. In-character actions have in-character repercussions. If you instigate something, and the backlash is more than you anticipated, please speak to a mod, and we will get something sorted.○ Weapons are allowed, but abilities are not. Keep flashy abilities on your hotbar to avoid disturbing other patrons.○ Patrons must be over the age of 18 summers to enter our establishment and properly dressed.○ Hasu is an immersive and lore-abiding space that caters to "everyday person" character archetypes. Please also be mindful of the themes you bring into our space and whether they are appropriate for public RP. Wols are discouraged.

Community Standards

○ All members of our community are considered equal in our spaces regardless of their standing in the wider RP community or their role in our community, whether they’re a guest, a staff member, or a member of the family. No one is entitled to special preferential treatment due to status, such as popularity; likewise, everyone is entitled to being approached with the assumption of good faith first, rather than being subject to harsh treatment on account of their reputation elsewhere in the community.○ Our policies are crafted to empower everyone to communicate with each other, speak up for themselves, and set their own boundaries in the interests of forming friendships and a larger community. We are all here to collaboratively write and express ourselves. We do not have a 'no drama' sort of rule because all situations are studied by a council together to decide if it fits our standard. There are no 3-strike rules or specific penalties. Everything is a conversation between adults if it needs to get to that point.○ The OOC comfort and safety of our community will always take priority over IC connections or the integrity of ongoing storylines. We will take all reports of heinous behavior seriously. The Mods will always prioritize communication and resolution over punishment.○ Additionally, we believe that to be safe, a community must strive to be inclusive. We encourage open discussions and expressions around topics such as race, gender, sexuality, disability, neurodivergence, et al, both through the lens of exploration that fiction can provide and about how these things affect our day-to-day lives. Seigan Nashi

Seigan Nashi, or Bound by Nothing in the common trade tongue, is a Junmai sake that is characterized by an earthy, slightly acidic, flavor. It is sake in its purest form, no additives or infusions.

Kazenosasayaki

The name of this sake means Whispers in the Wind, and the flavor is light, aromatic, and gently fruity. It is a premium Junmai Ginjo sake, and is highly recommended for those who have a preference towards fruity flavors.

Hikage no Kanshi-sha

Watchers in the Shade, a Nigori Cloudy sake, is sweet and creamy. It's definitely intended for those with a sweet tooth, unfiltered with a swirling cloudy appearance.

Eien no Kiga

This plum sake is called Eien no Kiga, or the Eternal Hunger, named such for those who can never have enough of its sweet, fruity taste. This one is especially enjoyable for those who prefer cocktails.

Dragon Well Tea

A gentle and sweet tea, created by pan roasting early spring shoots of green tea.

Oolong

Floral and light, this Oolong tea is made from semi-oxidized leaves that have been lightly roasted and smoked over cherry wood.

Matcha

Shade grown green leaves are carefully harvested, steamed, and then dried, before removing the veins of the leaves and stone-grinding them to a silky powder.

Suutei Tsai

Tea with Milk, a staple among the Steppe tribes, is black tea that has been steeped in water and milk, and mixed with with an addition of salt and a small amount of butter. It's rich, slightly salty, and flavorful.

Try it with our pickled plum onigiri for a mixture of bright acid and smooth sweet.

Kugane-yaki

A bun carefully made from a soft batter and filled with sweet azuki bean past. Served freshly made.

Fried Gyoza

Dumplings made with koshu pork, cabbage, and garlic, and then lightly fried in oil to crisp the edges.

Getting involved with Yoru Hasu, both as an FC and as a Roleplay Community is easy! You'll get access to Job Postings and Games or Prizes for just joining our community, but if you are interested to join the FC itself, you'll also receive other benefits, such as FC actions. If you're also willing to make a room designed for the FC, we'll provide both the room cost, as well as all of the furniture meant to go into your room.You don't have to be in the FC to be a part of it, but the more the merrier!
